The Ivoprop gives extra performance on take-off and go-arounds, especially on short-fields. The Vortex generators make it ultra-stable on the stall on short finals. It has a VFR night Authority to fly, so you can do night ratings, and land in the dark if you have had to take off late.

The tailwheel definitely gives an extra 5 knots, and the tailwheel will also allow you to land on rougher fields if need be.
